Animate a Family Photo with Gentle Camera Motion
Group photos are harder than single portraits because the model must track several people at once. This family-photo preset keeps bodies still and requests a gentle camera push-in. It is a practical starting point when preserving the arrangement matters more than adding dramatic movement.
Try the photo animation workflow
Review the starting motion below, upload one image you may share publicly, and inspect the resulting video.
Leave this blank if you want the default safe motion prompt.

Upload an image and run the flow. When the tested public Space finishes, your animated video will appear here.
Choose and prepare the source image
- Pick a group photo with separate, visible faces. People hidden behind shoulders or squeezed into a distant background are difficult to inspect.
- Count the people and note who is touching whom before generating. Joined hands and overlapping arms are common places for changes.
- Do not upload a private family archive to the public demo. It uses temporary public storage; choose an image everyone is comfortable sharing.
What this starting prompt asks for
Keep each person in their original position. A slow camera move is easier to evaluate than making several people wave or turn. Ask for one simple motion; more detailed prompts do not guarantee better identity consistency.
Review the entire result before downloading
- Count heads at the beginning, middle and end. Reject disappearing people, duplicated faces or new background figures.
- Inspect each person separately, including those near the edges. A convincing central face can hide errors elsewhere.
- Follow hands and arm overlaps, then check whether the background shifts independently of the camera.
What this workflow does not deliver
The output is a single generated clip, not a multi-photo slideshow or a factual recording of a past family moment. The model invents motion, and neither a prompt nor a preset guarantees stable faces across every frame.
Upload, wait, inspect and download
- Upload one permitted image. The free tool uses public storage and external public Hugging Face Spaces. Avoid private, sensitive or unreleased client images on this route.
- The motion field is prefilled for this page and remains editable. Submit once, then wait for the result or a visible error. Public GPU quotas, cold starts and queues can prevent completion.
- A playable file can still be almost motionless or unsuitable. Watch it from beginning to end and compare it against your original. Review the actual movement, faces, text and fine outlines before sharing.
- Use the download button when a result is ready. If your browser opens the video in another tab, use that player’s save option. The upstream output determines the actual dimensions, duration and format.
Free public queue and premium generation are separate
This embedded demo requires no account and does not spend site credits. Its capacity is controlled by the public upstream service. The premium Veo3 page requires sign-in and credits, and displays model and aspect-ratio controls. Opening that page does not submit a job. Review the price and settings before choosing a paid generation.

How many people can I animate?
There is no person-count control or guaranteed maximum in this tool. Fewer, larger, unobscured faces are easier to review. A successful small group does not establish that a large crowd will work.
Should everyone smile and wave?
Start with a camera move while bodies stay still. Independent gestures add difficult face and hand motion; test stronger ideas only after reviewing a simpler result.
