AI Video Effects on a Single Photo

Each effect below takes one still image and asks the model for one specific movement. The list is ordered by what actually survives an image-to-video model, not by what looks good in a demo reel. Every page states the source photo it needs and the failure mode it hits.

Camera effects

The model moves the camera instead of the subject. These are the most reliable effects because nothing in the photo has to stay anatomically correct.

Transform effects

The subject changes. These need a clean portrait and a small, specific request; stacking changes is what produces the uncanny version.

Motion and moments

The subject moves. Require a clear pose with room to move, and expect hands to be the first thing that breaks.

How to choose an effect

Start from the photo, not from the effect. A standing full-body shot can dance; a cropped portrait cannot. A skyline can zoom out; a flat scan cannot. Choosing the effect your photo already supports removes most of the retries.

  1. 1Look at your photo and name what it actually contains: a full body, a face, a landscape, two people.
  2. 2Open the effect page that matches that content, and read the source-photo notes at the top.
  3. 3Paste the prefilled prompt, run once, and change one variable at a time if it misses.

What the free demo is not

These are public, best-effort renders on a shared queue, not production guarantees. If a clip has to be perfect, use the signed-in generator and budget for retries.

  • Public queues can be busy, paused or out of quota; a queue error is not a failed generation.
  • Uploads go to temporary public storage, so treat every image as public.
  • No effect guarantees identity, resolution or exact duration.

Not sure where to start?

The camera effects are the safest first test because they do not depend on anatomy. Start there, then move to a transform once you know the pipeline works.
