Earth Zoom Out Video From a Photo
Camera move effect
An earth zoom-out starts on the detail you already photographed and pulls the camera back until the frame reads as a wide aerial. You do not need a drone shot: the model invents the space around your still, so the pull-back has somewhere to travel. This page runs that single camera move in the free browser demo.
Run this effect now
Upload one photo, keep the motion small, and check the whole clip before you publish. The free demo uses a shared public queue.
Leave this blank if you want the default safe motion prompt.

Why the effect works on an ordinary photo
The model is not asked to reconstruct a real city block. It is asked for one continuous camera retreat, which is a motion problem rather than a geography problem. A photo with a clear subject, a horizon and some depth cue on each side gives the retreat a direction to follow, and the invented surroundings stay plausible because nobody can prove they are wrong.
That is also the honest limit. An earth zoom-out is a stylised reveal, not a verified map. If you need a real pull-back over a real location, shoot it or license footage.
- Best inputs: skylines, coastlines, mountains, campus or rooftop shots with visible depth.
- Weak inputs: flat scans, heavy close-ups, and photos where the subject fills the entire frame.
- Keep the move fast enough to feel deliberate and slow enough that the invented edges do not flicker.
Where people actually use it
The effect is a hook. It works as the first two seconds of a location video, a conference opener, a property listing teaser, or a short that has to establish scale before it says anything. Because the clip is generated from a still, you can produce a dozen variations of the same opening without reshooting.
For a sequence, render the pull-back first, then cut to the original photo. The reveal reads as a deliberate camera decision instead of a filter, and the still gets a second life as the establishing frame.
Prompts that work for this effect
Copy one, paste it into the box above and change the subject. Keep one motion per prompt; stacking three requests is what produces the melted frames.
Clean satellite pull-back
Slow continuous earth zoom out from the building in the foreground, camera retreats straight up, surroundings expand into a wide aerial view of the city, steady speed, no cuts, cinematic.
Dramatic reveal
Camera pulls back fast from the street to a high aerial view, clouds passing at frame edges, strong sense of scale, one continuous move, no camera shake.
Dreamlike drift
Very slow zoom out revealing a wide valley at golden hour, soft haze, gentle upward drift, calm pacing, film grain, no text and no people added.
Questions about this effect
Do I need a drone photo to start?
No. A normal ground-level photo works because the model invents the space around your frame. A shot with a horizon and a clear subject simply gives the retreat more to work with.
How long is the generated clip?
The public demo returns a short clip, typically a few seconds. That is the right length for an opening beat; if you need a longer sequence, render two moves and cut them together.
Can I use the result commercially?
You are responsible for the source photo and for the platform you publish to. Use an image you have the rights to, and check that the destination accepts AI-generated footage before you upload.
Why did my pull-back look smeared?
Usually the prompt asked for too much at once, or the source had very little depth. Try one move only, name a direction, and remove any sentence about people or text.
Does the free demo keep my photo?
The free route is a public pipeline: the file goes to temporary public storage before the model reads it. Treat the upload as public and do not send private material.
Ready for a specific model or an HD export?
The free demo is a test lane. The signed-in generators expose more models, aspect ratios and repeatable settings, and they are the right place to spend credits once you know the prompt works.
Credit packs are one-time purchases. Prices are shown before checkout and no subscription is started.
