AI Photo Editor Online
A cleaner still makes a better clip.
Most animation problems are already visible in the source photo: a blown highlight, a cropped hand, a busy background or a tilted horizon. Fix those first. This page explains what to edit before you animate and where the paid image editor fits.

AI Photo Editor Online
The image editor and image generator spend credits and need an account. The free animation demo below is a separate step.
Try it with your own photo
Upload one image, keep the first motion small, and review the whole clip before downloading.
Leave this blank if you want the default safe motion prompt.
161/400No Videos Yet
Upload an image and run the flow. When the tested public Space finishes, your animated video will appear here.
How the free demo works
Upload one still image, optionally describe the motion, and start the job. The demo sends the file to temporary public storage and runs a tested public image-to-video model. The result appears in the same panel; download it when the queue finishes.
- 1Choose one clear photo: PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF, up to 10 MB.
- 2Describe one small movement, or leave the prompt empty for the default gentle motion.
- 3Wait for the result, play the whole clip, then download the video.
Edit first, animate second
The animation model treats the uploaded image as evidence. If the evidence is noisy, the model invents more. Straighten the horizon, clean up distracting objects and make sure the face is evenly lit before you ask for motion.
The signed-in AI image editor handles text-to-image and image-to-image work. It is a good place to prepare a first frame or clean a background. It spends credits; the free animation demo below is still available for testing the motion step.
- Crop to the final composition before animating.
- Fix exposure and white balance first.
- Remove text and logos you do not want the model to redraw.
What to fix before animating
Check the eyes, hands and frame edges at 100%. If a hand is cut off, the model cannot reliably reconstruct it. If a background line is crooked, a camera move will make it more obvious.
Do not over-sharpen or over-smooth the face. A natural texture gives the model more to work with. Keep an untouched original so you can compare the edited still with the final clip.
- Avoid heavy beauty filters before animation.
- Keep the original resolution where possible.
- Save a copy before destructive edits.
Motion recipes you can paste
Start with one movement. Change one instruction at a time so you can tell what improved the result.
Clean the background
Remove distracting objects from the background and replace them with a simple, softly lit surface. Preserve the subject’s face, clothing, pose and natural skin texture. No text or logos.
Relight the portrait
Make the lighting even and soft, with a gentle key light from the left. Preserve the subject’s identity, skin tone and facial proportions. Do not change the background composition.
Straighten and crop
Straighten the horizon and crop to a balanced portrait composition. Keep the full head, shoulders and hands in frame. Do not add or remove people.
Restore an old photo
Reduce scratches and dust while keeping the original grain and tone. Do not colorize, change clothing or invent facial details. Keep the result believable as a restored photograph.
Before you upload
The free demo is a public route. Your image goes to temporary public storage before it reaches the upstream model, so treat the upload as public. The signed-in generators are a separate route and require an account.
- Use only photos you have the right to share.
- Do not upload private family photos, IDs, or images of people who have not agreed.
- Keep the original file; the demo does not promise permanent storage.
What this page does not promise
Free access is best effort. Public GPU queues can be busy, paused, or out of quota, and a queue error is not a generated video.
- No guaranteed resolution, frame rate, or duration.
- No guarantee that a face, pet, or costume stays identical in every frame.
- No lip sync, accurate lettering, or editable project file.
- No refund of time spent waiting in a public queue.
Questions people ask before trying
Is the AI photo editor free?
The animation demo on this page is free. The signed-in image editor uses credits, so check the pricing page before starting a large batch.
Can I edit and animate in one place?
You can prepare the still in the image editor and then open the image-to-video tool. They are separate steps with different credit costs.
Will editing preserve the person’s identity?
A restrained edit is more likely to preserve identity. Large relighting, face retouching or clothing changes can alter it. Keep the original for comparison.
What should I fix first?
Crop, exposure and distracting background objects. Those changes reduce what the animation model has to invent.
Try one photo before you pay for anything
The demo costs no credits and needs no account. When you need model choice, a vertical frame, or an HD export, continue to the signed-in tools.
Credit packs are one-time purchases. Monthly plans are optional and can be cancelled from billing settings.
